Hadd Kar Di Aapne......

Immediately after writing the story of meeting and getting closer to Mishraji, the next picture that comes into my mind is none other than DJ......and this strange story of meeting DJ, which is known to most of you by now, but still for the records and for the sake of narrating the whole story I would take the pains to recollect the whole thing again...........

I believe the most entertaining thing I always do after exams is - watching cinema, and that too alone. Well I remember it clearly it was raining after the CET Karnataka exams got over (it usually rains in the month of May in Bangalore), so the challenge I had was to reach my hotel after the exam and then take some money and then do some shopping and then rush to any cinema hall (it really didn't matter to me that which film I am actually going to watch or with whom). So, as per the chellenge I had set for myself - I rushed to the hotel in the Majestic area (almost all the CET applicants manage to stay in some or the other hotels in the Majestic area of Bangalore) kept the question paper safe into the bag, and took out some money. Now was the time to do some shopping. And if you really think that my shopping would have included any kind of clothes then you are wrong. My definition of shopping was entirely different from others. I was only interested in buying the CDs of Movies and Softwares (as these were lesser known things in Ranchi in those days), and also some electronics items and anything else which catched my attention. Once all these things were met, the next target was to watch a cinema, than have dinner, sleep and catch the next day's train back to Ranchi (and since the train was from Chennai, so it meant that I will have to start for Chennai in the morning itself).

So I spotted the cinema hall ... got the tickets and entered into the cinema all drenched and with a number of polythene bags and a carry bag only to find that the whole cinema hall is almost empty. And only some seats are occupied in a scattered manner. I chose to sit on the seat number written on the ticket and watch the movie. In the mean time I have forgot to mention the name of the movie - it was a Govinda & Rani Mukherjee starrer Hadd Kar Di Aapne. Without any doubt the movie was an absolute bore but I believe in deriving interest and some meaning in anything where I have invested the money. So despite realizing that the movie is a killing bore movie I decided to sit in the theatre till the movie ends (as it is I had nothing better to do after leaving the cinema hall). In the interval I spotted two guys sitting in the back row and talking something in Hindi, and after a few moments I did realize that these guys are here in Bangalore for their CET exam and are also from Ranchi (as they were talking about things related to Ranchi). Those guys were Mr Deep Prakash and Sameer.

Well its still a scene to have talked to them, I guess I initated some weird discussion by asking some questions. And needless to mention that their expressions spoke just one thing - Abbe, kyun dimag kha raha hai? Anyway.....I asked some questions, they asked some questions. Thats it! Coversation over. Faces captured. And thats it.......next time we met each other was again during the BIT interview day where it was no surprise for each other to have recollected that we have met somewhere earlier, and then we recollected the same cinema hall. (Later I also got to know that DJ and Sameer had come to the cinema hall after seeing off Vartika from the railway station, as they also had nothing better to do after the exam was over.)

We have recollected the same cinema hall and the same movie on more than 100 occassions till date, we have cursed each other for being there at that point in time, but for me it would remain to be a moment where we met and we are still in touch. So don't you guys think its not always a bad idea to watch movies alone and its certainly not a bad idea to try to talk to other audiences in the cinema hall. May be you could end up making a life long relation :)

isi ko bolte hai "PHOENIX" effect.. with the email chains near to an extinct status, you start something from the its very remains...
Good going buddhau..
Yeh idea humme bahut hi dilchasp laga... ab jaldi se humko bhi contributors list me add kar lo...

raha baat tumhare self-imposed 'solitude' tasks, spreading in the sea-sized tasklist of watching movies alone or boozing, tum jaise the waise hi ho. Nothing has changed and you will not let anything change it also. Just kidding...
